NSW Fire Brigade - Rescue

The NSWFB maintains a specialist rescue section as part of their response to emergency incidents with specialised equipment and training.

Burwood Fire station's Firepac Rescue Appliance was painted yellow as a trial to determine if it was an easier colour to see in an emergency situation or not. New Rescue trucks are delivered in red and white so needless to say, this truck is unique.

It was photographed at a partial building collapse at Camperdown, November 2001.

Heavy Rescue Truck - this truck has specialized Rescue Equipment for things such as building collapses and the like. More equipment is held on this truck than a pumper sized rescue truck. It was photographed at a partial building collapse at Camperdown, November 2001.
