NSW Fire Brigade - HAZMAT

 

 

The NSWFB operates a specialised section for hazardous material (HAZMAT) incidents. Even though a regular fire appliance and team of Firefighters can cope with most HAZMAT incidents, HAZMAT teams are used for larger incidents.

These two BA/HAZMAT trucks contain breathing apparatus and also other equipment for dealing with hazardous materials. Once again, these trucks have more equipment than a regular appliance. Parramatta Road, Camperdown, November 2001.
